A customer gets a text that says there is a problem with their account. Before they tap anything, they ask an AI assistant: is this really from my bank, and what should I do? Another customer is weighing two savings accounts and asks which one pays more. A third has just had a car accident and asks how to file a claim.
Whatever comes back is, for that person, your institution's answer. It might quote your current rate, or last year's. It might send them to your claims page, or to a forum thread. For banks, credit unions, insurers and wealth firms, where accuracy and trust are the product, that answer matters more than most. Most teams have no way to see it.
The challenge: the AI layer decides before your website does
Search used to send people to your pages. AI assistants increasingly answer the question themselves, drawing on whatever sources they trust, and your own site is only one of them. In financial services, that creates specific problems:
- Rates, fees and terms go stale. AI can repeat a figure from an aggregator, an old press release or a cached page long after your own page is updated.
- Third parties speak for you. Comparison sites, review platforms and forums are often cited in place of your product pages, and they may describe your products incompletely or incorrectly.
- Trust questions are answered without you. Customers ask whether a message, a number or a company is legitimate. If your guidance on fraud, security and official contact channels is hard for AI to find, someone else's guidance fills the gap.
- Complex products get flattened. Eligibility rules, exclusions and disclosures are exactly the details that long, dense pages bury and AI summaries drop.
- Your brand is compared to peers you did not choose. Assistants rank and recommend. Being left out of a recommendation, or described less favorably than a competitor, has a real cost that never shows up in web analytics.
What good looks like
Most financial institutions do not need to win every AI answer. They need to be accurate, present and trusted on the questions that matter most. A useful set of goals:
- Accurate answers on your highest-stakes topics: rates, fees, eligibility, claims, fraud and account access.
- Your own pages cited as the source, rather than aggregators, outdated documents or forum posts.
- A healthy share of voice against the peers customers actually compare you with, by product line.
- Fewer customers confused, misdirected or exposed to look-alike scams, and fewer avoidable calls to the contact center.
- A repeatable way to prove the work to leadership, risk and compliance teams, with measured before and after results.
How Adobe Brand Visibility helps
Adobe Brand Visibility turns the AI layer into something you can see, measure and manage. For a financial institution, that means:
- A baseline by product and topic. See how often and how accurately AI mentions and cites your institution across the questions customers ask, from savings and lending to insurance and wealth.
- The actual answer and its sources. Read what each assistant says and which sources it trusts, so you can see whether a wrong number came from an outdated page, a partner site or an aggregator.
- Peer comparison. Benchmark your visibility against competitors and see where they are being cited and you are not.
- Opportunities by topic and source. Find the topics where a better page, a clearer summary or a corrected third-party listing would change the answer.
- Fixes delivered to AI agents. Plain-language summaries of complex content can be delivered to AI agents with preview and one-click roll back, without changing your CMS, so improvements can be tested before they go further.
- Recovery of hidden content. Information that only loads with JavaScript is often invisible to AI agents. Brand Visibility helps you find it and make it readable.
- Outcome tracking. Follow the topics that matter to your business week by week, next to your peers, in Brand Presence.
See it in action
This walkthrough follows Copperline Bank, a fictional regional bank, through a saver's CD question and a restaurant owner's SBA loan: where AI quotes a stale rate or recommends a competitor, how the content AI reads gets fixed with approval, preview and one-click roll back, and how the result is tracked. It uses sample data.

How Prolifico turns the data into action
Data does not change an AI answer. Changes to your content, your technical setup and your source ecosystem do. Prolifico is the Adobe partner that sets up Brand Visibility around your products, your customers' real questions and your peers, and then helps you act on what it shows.
- A six-week launch. Discovery of your audiences, products and priorities; a prompt library organized by product, audience and journey stage; configuration with peers and markets; a baseline; analysis; and a launch report with a prioritized 90-day plan.
- A backlog ranked by impact and effort. Every gap is rated by how much it matters to customers and how quickly it can be fixed, so you start with the wins that are both important and achievable.
- Delivery through your review process. Changes to customer-facing copy go through your legal, compliance and brand review before anything is published. Prolifico plans and builds the work; your reviewers stay in charge of what is said.
- Technical fixes. Prolifico assesses what prevents AI agents from reading and citing your content, and, where Adobe Experience Manager and Edge Delivery Services are part of your stack, helps implement structured, fast and accessible pages.
- Ongoing support. Monthly recommendations based on Brand Visibility insights, technical optimizations, monthly reporting and a quarterly performance review, with the prompt library kept current as products, rates and priorities change.
Brand Visibility works from public AI answers and your own website content. It does not require customer account data.
Where to start
- Write down your ten highest-stakes customer questions, in customers' words, not product names. Include rates, fees, claims, fraud and account access.
- Ask them in the AI assistants your customers use, and record which sources are cited and whether the answer is right.
- Check whether your own pages answer each question plainly, are current, and can be read by AI agents.
- Decide who owns each fix, including the review steps, so the answers can actually change.
- Set a baseline and a cadence: measure monthly, review quarterly, and tie the results to the outcomes your leadership already tracks.
Prolifico launches Adobe Brand Visibility in about six weeks and supports it with a monthly program. See our Financial Services program, or ask for an AI visibility scan of your domain and a baseline on your priority products.
